Computing Utopia

Home PageIf this site's pages don't display properly, you can blame the browser for not following the standards and the browser's vendor for not making the effort to follow those standards. The very latest major browsers should function properly and several others are coming close to the goal. There should be a separate menu box on the right side of the page, if you can't see it or can only see a part of it, that indicates your browser may not be fully compliant. See the banner above or the small ones on the right -->

This site is under construction, but here's a quick run down of its intended purpose:

My plans for this site are rather simple, I've been fuming for a long time to express my thoughts about the computer and software industry as we know it. Nobody listens to people who aren't in the media and since I'm not an author or any kind of journalist and nobody knows about me, I had no way to convey and express what I think about all this. Since I'm also not a writer, you can expect my ramblings to be sometimes unclear and my use of the language can be flawed. I will try my best to make myself clear about what I write, but please forgive me in advance if I don't fully succeed the first time. You can expect some serious Microsoft bashing on this site, however, rest assured that Microsoft will not be the only one blamed or bashed. I believe there are many to be blamed besides Microsoft for the situation we're in. YES! I do believe we ARE in a situation! Unfortunately the vast majority out there are quite content with the way things are right now and nobody is really trying too hard to change anything, not even the US Government (the Microsoft Antitrust case) is doing much to change the way things are.

I will use this site to express my thoughts and share some ideas I have about what should be done and could be done to improve things in the computing world. Of course many other people with much better communication skills than I could say it with more eloquence, some may agree with some of what I think, and others may not.

I bet there are many that will feel it necessary to flame me for doing this, well guess what? You can go ahead all you want, it won't change anything. I'm sure I will upset many "Microsoft FOLLOWERS" in the process, well, GOOD!!! That's part of the deal.

I'm tired of this massive ignorance out there, most people are totally ignorant about computers and still want to think they know better, so if you are one of "THEM", following everything that Microsoft does like a mindless robot, you may not want to read any further, as you will get bashed along with Microsoft. Too many are following and keep feeding that beast, swallowing everything as is and never thinking for themselves. Microsoft followers, "YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE"!!!

Don't get me wrong, this site is definitely not about Microsoft bashing, I just want to share some ideas and hopefully spark something in some people's mind that would help moving on to the better stuff that should've been around a long time ago. However, brace yourselves for serious bashing of all who deserve it!
